About The Author

Nikki Jenkins' first novel, Playing with the Hand I was Dealt, was published in 2007 by Simon and Schuster/Strebor Books. The success of this book garnered her the title "best-selling author." Listed in Black Issues Book Review in 2005 and an alternate selection in Black Expressions Book Club in 2007, Ms. Jenkins' work is known by many. She participated in numerous book club meetings, book expos, and in-store book signings. The experience of having her first book published caused her to have to push herself as she characterizes herself as an extreme introvert.

Ms. Jenkins has decided to self-publish her second novel, The Day Crazy Came to Dinner. Unable to locate the perfect team to sell her novel, Ms. Jenkins decided to go at it alone. While she's sure this journey will be a little frightening, she's up for the challenge. "This will allow me the opportunity to step even farther outside my comfort zone. I can only grow from this experience."

Ms. Jenkins lives in Columbus, OH with her family.
